An assessment that takes your story seriously.

If you're an adult exploring whether ADHD might explain what you've been living with, the worst version of this process is a 20‑minute conversation that ends with a label and a prescription. We don't run our clinic that way.

A NeuroFX adult ADHD assessment is a single, unhurried 2 to 3 hour structured clinical assessment with a clinician, a careful conversation, structured screening using validated diagnostic tools (DIVA‑5, ASRS), and a diagnostic outcome you don't have to wait weeks for. One clinician, end to end.

Who this is for

Adults seeking clarity, not just a label.

Suitable for adults (18+) who've never been formally assessed for ADHD; who suspect an existing diagnosis was incomplete; or who already have a diagnosis and want a private report to support medication, shared care, or workplace adjustments.

What's included.

Every adult assessment includes the following, fixed‑fee, no upsell, no surprises.

  • Pre‑assessment scoping, a short call from your clinician once you've sent a referral or booked. To confirm format, expectations and any documents we need.
  • 2 to 3 hour structured clinical assessment at our Bedford clinic or over secure video, using validated diagnostic instruments (DIVA‑5, ASRS) plus a developmental and contextual history.
  • Diagnostic letter within 48 hours and a full written report within 14 days, clearly explaining findings, with diagnostic clarity where appropriate.
  • A feedback call if you need one, arranged once you've read the report, to walk through what it means and answer questions.
  • Letters for your GP, school, university or employer, written as required to support shared‑care, reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010, and DSA applications.
  • Medication options and lifestyle advice where clinically appropriate, covering stimulant and non‑stimulant pathways, exercise, sleep, executive‑function strategies and onward signposting.

If needed

Your report, written for you, and your GP.

The report is the centre of what we do. It's not a generic template. It's written for you to understand, and structured so your GP can act on it.

What's in the report

  • A summary of presenting concerns and developmental history.
  • Findings from the validated diagnostic tools used, with scores and interpretation.
  • A clinical formulation, including diagnostic outcome and clinical reasoning.
  • Where appropriate, recommendations for medication, psychological support, workplace adjustments and follow‑up.
  • An accessible "what this means for you" section in plain English.

Reports are accepted by NHS GPs, employers, schools and DSA assessors. We can also support a shared‑care arrangement where your GP is willing.

Optional adjunct · £129, booked separately

QbCheck, objective measurement, where it helps.

In about 10‑15% of assessments we recommend QbCheck, a validated computerised measure of attention, impulsivity and activity, to strengthen the clinical picture. It’s never bundled in by default. Read more about QbCheck →

After your diagnosis.

A diagnosis isn't an endpoint, it's the beginning of being able to make informed decisions. Where it's clinically appropriate, we can support you with:

  • Medication and titration, private prescribing with monthly monitoring reviews, where indicated.
  • Shared‑care arrangements, we'll work with willing NHS GPs to move prescribing to NHS once you're stable.
  • Workplace and education letters, supporting reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010.
  • Onward referral, to psychological therapy, ADHD coaching, or specialist services as needed.

Online or in person.

Adult ADHD assessments can be held in person at our Bedford clinic, or entirely online via a secure video platform. Both follow exactly the same diagnostic protocol, your choice is a question of what feels right, not what's clinically possible.

In person at Bedford

Our clinic is a calm, residential‑style space, not a hospital. There's a quiet waiting area, pay and display parking next door, and we run appointments to time so you're not held up.

Online (UK‑wide)

Online assessments use a secure, GDPR‑compliant video platform. Many adults find the home environment more comfortable, and the diagnostic validity is identical. We currently serve patients across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Cost & payment.

The adult ADHD assessment is a fixed fee of £675. There are no hidden costs, this includes the first conversation, the assessment, your written report, and a feedback call if you need one.

  • Interest-free instalments available through Klarna and Clearpay, subject to their eligibility checks.
  • QbCheck (optional adjunct): £129, booked as a separate appointment, includes our narrative interpretation report. More about QbCheck →
  • Medication titration from £995 (6‑month package) if appropriate, charged separately.
