Introduction to ADHD Assessment
Hello, I'm Tina, the lead clinician at NeuroFX. At our CQC registered clinic we provide specialist ADHD and autism assessments for children aged six and over, as well as adults. We understand how frustrating delays to access NHS care can be, so our aim is to provide clarity from ADHD assessment to clinical outcome within just 14 days.
Step 1: Booking and Onboarding
After booking your ADHD assessment online or in person, you will be invited to complete our onboarding process. This is your opportunity to tell your story and share your physical and mental health history. You will also be sent digital ADHD screening tools to complete at home, in your own time. These give us a better understanding of your individual needs before we meet.
Step 2: ADHD Clinical Assessment
Your ADHD assessment can be carried out online or face to face in our clinic. The clinical interview usually takes two to three hours in a relaxed environment where you can explain the impact of symptoms and difficulties on your life. All assessments follow NICE guidelines for ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
Step 3: ADHD Diagnosis
In some cases a diagnosis can be given on the same day. In others, further evidence may be required from family, partners, employers, school or university. This ensures the ADHD diagnostic report is thorough and accurate. A full written diagnostic report is normally provided within 14 days and is accepted for school, workplace or university requirements, meeting both CQC and NICE standards.
Step 4: ADHD Treatment and Medication
Depending on your circumstances, we may be able to begin ADHD treatment immediately after diagnosis. Our six-month medication package includes prescribing, titration to find the right medication and dosage, and ongoing monitoring. The goal is to transition to a shared care agreement with your GP, who will be invited to participate in your treatment plan.
Alternatives to Medication
Not everyone chooses medication. We also discuss non-medication options, resources and strategies tailored to your needs and preferences. These alternatives are designed to support ADHD management in ways that work for you.

We know an ADHD assessment and treatment can feel like a big step, financially as well as emotionally. That’s why we offer simple monthly instalment options at no extra cost, giving you the choice to spread payments without delay to your care.

You will then be sent a payment link that includes both Klarna (3 monthly payments of £225) and Clearpay (4 monthly payments of £168.75) - all entirely interest-free.
*Please note that GPs are not obliged to accept a Shared Care arrangement with any private clinician once medication titration is completed. We have a very high success rate, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. If ADHD is diagnosed, treatment and ongoing care can begin straight away, including medication titration and support, with Shared Care set up with your GP wherever possible.

All our assessments follow NICE guidelines and are carried out by qualified clinicians using validated clinical tools. Your GP will decide whether to accept a shared care agreement once we have established an appropriate medicine and dosage; it cannot be guaranteed, but we do have a very high success rate in establishing them. If your GP is not prepared to enter into a shared care arrangement, it does not in any way invalidate your diagnosis.

Yes. While the diagnostic interview is usually completed in person, many elements (screening, onboarding, feedback) can be done online to make the process easier.
