About Tina

I'm Tina, a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner and Independent Prescriber, with a background of more than a decade in mental health nursing, ADHD and autism. I co-founded NeuroFX with Paul to give people a calmer, faster route to a clear answer.

My clinical career began in crisis and forensic mental health, working with people facing some of the most complex challenges. Those years shaped how I work: calm, grounded, direct, and always solution focused. I also bring lived experience of supporting neurodiverse family members, which adds to the way I listen, advocate, and help people move forward with confidence.

"Clear answers come from careful listening, the right structured tools, and the time to do both properly."Tina Fox

Clinical experience

I trained as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and have held clinical posts across forensic mental health, acute crisis teams, and specialist ADHD and autism services. My direct experience covers:

  • Adult and child ADHD diagnostic assessment using structured tools such as DIVA-5 and validated rating scales.
  • Independent prescribing for ADHD, including stimulant titration (methylphenidate, lisdexamfetamine) and non-stimulant options (atomoxetine, guanfacine).
  • Shared-care coordination with NHS GPs, always at the GP's sole discretion.
  • Autism diagnostic assessment using the ADI-R and ADOS-2.
  • Risk assessment and clinical decision-making in complex, co-occurring presentations.

Regulation and registration

I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a mental health nurse and as an Independent Prescriber, and I am a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). My NMC PIN is 10B1446E. You can verify my registration on the NMC register.

NeuroFX is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) (provider 1-22155172978) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration ZB870010. All clinical practice follows current NICE guidance, including NICE guideline NG87.

My approach

I believe clear answers come from careful listening, structured tools, and the time to do both properly. Every assessment is a single, unrushed appointment of 2 to 3 hours, with breaks, long enough to hear the whole story and structured enough to reach a conclusion you and your GP can rely on.

What I will not do is rush an assessment, prescribe without diagnostic clarity, or hand back a generic report. What I will do is tell you clearly what I have found, write a report your GP can actually use, and stay with the work for as long as it needs.
