About Paul
I'm Paul, Director and Co-Owner of NeuroFX and an ambassador for ADHD UK. I'm not a clinician. My job is to make sure the path from a first nervous enquiry to a clear diagnosis and proper support is as quick, simple and humane as we can make it.
I also have ADHD, diagnosed as an adult. The years of sensing that things were harder than they looked, without quite knowing why, are a large part of why NeuroFX exists and how we choose to run it.
"Being understood late is far better than never. The whole point of NeuroFX is that nobody should have to wait years to make sense of their own mind."Paul Fox
What I do here
NeuroFX is a family-run clinic that Tina and I built together. Tina leads everything clinical; I focus on access and clarity, the booking, the pathways, the follow-up, the small details that decide whether someone feels looked after or merely processed.
My focus is access and clarity:
- Sensible waits. A realistic next available date, stated plainly, with no false promises about timescales.
- Plain communication. Letters and reports written so a patient and their GP can actually use them.
- A route that does not strand people. Assessment that leads to a plan, not a report handed over with a shrug.
Working with ADHD UK
As an ambassador for ADHD UK, I help raise awareness of what ADHD really looks like from the inside, and of how much difference timely, well-explained support can make. It is the same belief that shapes how we run the clinic and how we write our guides.
Why I write
I write the lived-experience side of our content, the pieces on what ADHD actually feels like, from diagnosis and medication to relationships, work and the ordinary day to day. Anything clinical is reviewed by Tina before it goes out.
The aim is simple: to put words to the experiences a lot of people carry quietly for years, and to make the next step feel less daunting.
