Online Adult ADHD Medication for Belfast and surrounding patients, delivered entirely online via secure GDPR-compliant video. NICE NG87-aligned, led personally by Tina Fox. £995, inclusive entirely online. Typically 6–8 weeks from first call, next available soon.
Hello, I'm Tina. I'm the lead clinician at NeuroFX. At our CQC-registered clinic, we offer specialist autism and ADHD assessments for children aged six and over and adults.
So after booking an assessment with us online or in person, you'll then be invited to take part in the onboarding process, and that is for you to be able to tell your story. It will include physical and mental health history, and then after that, you'll be sent some additional screening tools, which can all be completed in digital format online. You can pause at any time, and you can do that in the comfort of your own home. This enables me to better understand your story and your individual needs before we meet.
Next is your ADHD assessment, which is either online or in the clinic, coming to talk to me face to face. The process does take about two to three hours. That'll give you a chance to hopefully feel relaxed in an environment where you can tell me about the impacts and difficulties and how these have affected you. This follows all NICE guidelines.
In some situations, I may be able to tell you the diagnosis on the same day that we meet. In other scenarios, I might have to perhaps gain some more evidence. You might need to talk to other people, employers, family, partners, school, university, for me to be able to get a really good idea of the evidence, perhaps that you can't see yourself, and might help towards that diagnosis. You'll be provided a diagnostic report, provided I have all of that evidence, within 14 days.
So wherever you are on your journey, all the information is available on our website. You could book a call to talk to our team. You can book online. You can also simply email us if you have any questions. We do have payment plans available to pay in three or four instalments. So we look forward to meeting you and working with you on your journey.

Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner & Independent Prescriber (NISP)
Every NeuroFX medication and titration package is conducted personally by Tina. 15 years of specialist mental health nursing experience and extensive neurodiversity specialist care, having conducted hundreds of ADHD and autism assessments. Tina is also an independent prescriber and an advanced specialist paediatric sleep practitioner. Assessments and prescribing follow NICE NG87 plus BAP guidance. She works with both stimulants (lisdexamfetamine, methylphenidate IR and modified-release) and non-stimulants (atomoxetine, guanfacine), chosen based on your clinical picture, not protocol.
For Belfast patients in particular, having one clinician end-to-end means no diagnostic hand-offs and no inconsistency between assessment and prescriber. Same person, all the way through.
This service is delivered entirely online, UK-wide. No travel to Bedford required. The diagnostic protocol and clinical standard are identical to our in-person pathway.
A secure GDPR-compliant video platform. The session looks and feels like a video call; the diagnostic protocol underneath it is identical to our in-person clinic.
You are served by Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, part of Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland. A private NeuroFX onboarding is typically 6 to 8 weeks (next available soon), available alongside Health and Social Care care rather than replacing it.
In Belfast, adult ADHD and autism assessment sits with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, one of Northern Ireland's five HSC Trusts, which an adult reaches through a GP referral to the Trust's adult mental health and autism services rather than through any England-style Integrated Care Board. The picture is one of severe pressure: a Northern Ireland Assembly research briefing (NIAR 50-2024, 1 July 2024) records that in the Belfast Trust the longest wait for an adult ADHD diagnosis was approximately eight years, and notes that there are no regionally commissioned services for adult ADHD in Northern Ireland (figures for clinician sign-off).
NeuroFX is a CQC-registered private clinic in Bedford that offers secure online ADHD and autism assessments to adults in Belfast, with an assessment typically completed in 6 to 8 weeks; this private route sits alongside HSC care and never replaces it, so you can stay on any HSC waiting list while arranging a private assessment. "Right to Choose" is an NHS England policy and does not exist in Northern Ireland, so it cannot be used to access an HSC assessment here. Northern Ireland does, however, have regional ADHD shared-care guidelines, approved by the Regional Group on Specialist Medicines and published through the Interface Pharmacist Network Specialist Medicines, so whether a Belfast GP enters a shared-care arrangement to continue prescribing after a private assessment and titration remains at the GP's sole discretion under those guidelines.
If shared care matters to you, we suggest speaking to your GP before booking; locally, Autism NI and the Belfast-based ADHD charity ADD-NI offer Northern Ireland specific information and support.
Adult ADHD and autism assessment in this area is planned by Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, part of Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland. Right to Choose is an NHS England scheme and does not apply here.
Figures reflect the trust's own published service page at time of last review. Re-check before relying on it for any decision.
Two things every Belfast patient asks about, set out clearly so you can choose your route with full information rather than discovering the catch after you have booked.
In Northern Ireland you access an ADHD or autism assessment through a GP referral to your local Health and Social Care Trust, where it joins the waiting list if accepted. Northern Ireland does not have NHS England's Right to Choose, so you cannot direct a publicly funded referral to a private provider. A NeuroFX assessment is a separate, privately funded route that runs in parallel, typically completed in 6 to 8 weeks.
Entering a shared-care arrangement after a private assessment and titration is entirely at the individual GP's sole discretion. Northern Ireland has its own regional ADHD shared-care guidelines, but a GP is not obliged to enter shared care following a private assessment. We cannot guarantee any GP will take on prescribing, so if shared care matters to you, speak to your Belfast GP before booking. We provide a structured handover designed to make that conversation as easy as possible.
Belfast is a city that has emerged from the most difficult half-century in its history with a quality of energy and openness that takes visitors by surprise and pleases its residents enormously. The Titanic Belfast museum, built on the slipways where the ship was constructed, is one of the finest visitor experiences in the British Isles -- a meditation on pride, tragedy and resilience that the city has every right to tell.
The Cathedral Quarter, the Botanic Gardens district and the regenerating waterfront each tell different stories about a city remaking itself with considerable determination since the Good Friday Agreement of 1998. Belfast has a particular warmth -- a directness, a humour, a hospitality -- that is its own and not to be confused with anywhere else.
This page is for Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Bangor, Antrim, Carrickfergus, Holywood and surrounding villages.Schools, universities, employers and parent-carer networks in the Belfast area all have routes you can use, some free, all helpful while you wait or after a diagnosis.
For children and young people in Northern Ireland, support is provided under the special educational needs (SEN) framework, administered region-wide by the Education Authority. The school's SENCo is the right first contact about how a private assessment supports SEN provision or a statement.
Our reports are designed to support Disabled Students' Allowance applications and reasonable-adjustment requests under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 at universities, colleges and employers.
Genuinely local organisations, neurodiversity-affirming and free at the point of access. We recommend them whether you are a NeuroFX patient or not.

A clear, evidence-based explanation of what ADHD actually is, how it shows up in the brain and daily life, how it is diagnosed in the UK, and what helps.

What an adult or paediatric autism assessment involves: the structure, the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, what the clinician asks about, and what happens after.

Adult ADHD assessment uses rating scales, checklists and a detailed history: what these tools do, what they cannot do, and how diagnosis really works.
