Body-mind integrative therapy

Re:Connectology

Re:Connectology offers body-mind integrative therapy with an occupational therapist and a yoga therapist, online or in person in Hitchin and Letchworth.

Re:Connectology is a body-mind therapy practice in North Hertfordshire run by Chloe Scott and Alex Flatman. Their work starts from the idea that how you move, think, feel and live are all connected, so a difficulty in one area often shows up in the others.

Chloe is an occupational therapist who has specialised in mental health for more than 16 years. She also holds a diploma in compassion focused therapy from the Compassionate Mind Foundation and is a Sensory Intelligence practitioner, an approach to understanding sensory processing needs. Alex is a yoga therapist, trained with The Minded Institute with a specialism in mental health, and a postural alignment specialist. He previously taught in secondary schools and has experience supporting neurodivergent young people.

What they offer

Their work is organised into three pathways, which are different starting points into the same approach:

  • Body: for pain, tension, fatigue, poor sleep or feeling disconnected from your body, using yoga therapy and posture work
  • Mind: for overthinking, a strong inner critic, anxiety, overwhelm or burnout, using compassion focused therapy with Chloe
  • Life: for feeling stuck, or finding routines, work, study or relationships hard to sustain, including exploring the strengths and challenges of neurodiversity in everyday life

Many people move between the pathways as they go. Alongside one-to-one work, they run weekly group yoga classes in Hitchin, Letchworth and Luton.

Who it may suit

Re:Connectology may suit you if you're an adult living with ADHD or autism and the day-to-day side has become hard going: burnout, sensory overload, a harsh inner voice, or routines that keep falling apart. Their occupational therapy background means the focus is practical, on how you live and function day to day, rather than on talking alone.

How it works

Sessions are one to one and can be online, at clinic rooms in Hitchin or Letchworth, or for some sessions at home. They offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can talk through what you're looking for before committing, and they welcome referrals. You can contact them by email or through the form on their website.
