Freena Tailor is a psychologist and certified executive function coach who runs FT Psychology Services. She works with children, young people, adults and families, and much of her work centres on anxiety, emotional regulation, executive function and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism.
Before setting up her own practice, Freena spent several years in NHS child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). She also directs postgraduate training programmes with the Anna Freud Centre and University College London.
What she offers
Freena's work spans therapy and coaching, and she tailors the approach to the person in front of her. Her services include:
- therapy for children and young people
- ADHD and executive function coaching
- autism and neurodiversity support
- ADHD and autism coaching for adults
- parenting support, and guidance for families after a diagnosis
- emotional wellbeing and mental health support for adults
She draws on a range of recognised approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and systemic, family-focused work.
Specialist programmes and intensive support
Alongside regular therapy and coaching, Freena offers more focused packages of support:
- Therapy and coaching intensives: longer, focused sessions for people who would benefit from more concentrated support, instead of or alongside weekly sessions.
- Autism and ADHD post-diagnosis support programme: help for individuals and families to understand a diagnosis and turn it into practical strategies for everyday life.
- Transition to university programme: a structured one-to-one programme for autistic and ADHD young people preparing for university, covering executive functioning, routines, emotional regulation and independent living.
Each is described in more detail on her website.
Who it may suit
Freena's service may suit you if a diagnosis has answered the "what" and you now want help with the "how": building routines, managing overwhelm, understanding your child's needs, or making sense of what the diagnosis means for your family. Because she works with the whole family as well as the individual, it can be a good fit where parents want support alongside their child.
How sessions work
Sessions take place in person at a consulting room in Bedford, or online if you prefer. Her website sets out current fees and answers common questions, and you can contact her directly by email or phone to talk through whether her service is right for you.
