Free ADHD Assessment Trial
Now Open for Local Applicants
Struggling with focus, impulsivity, or emotional regulation?
Frustrated by long waiting lists or the cost of private assessments?
Based in Bedford, NeuroFX is a CQC-registered ADHD and autism clinic. We’re offering a limited number of full ADHD assessments completely free of charge as part of a trial of our assessment tools.
The trial includes objective cognitive testing powered by Creyos – a digital assessment platform developed by Cambridge Brain Sciences, based on over 40 years of academic research led by Professor Adrian Owen at the University of Cambridge. It compares your performance to data from hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide to help build a more complete picture than subjective screening alone.
This offer is extended to individuals or families who believe ADHD may be affecting their or their child’s education, work, relationships, or wellbeing, and who haven’t yet had access to a formal diagnosis.
You’re in Safe Hands: Trusted Professional Standards

What’s Involved in the Trial?
This is a full, formal ADHD assessment, not just a questionnaire.
Participants will complete a structured, NICE-guided diagnostic process, using both subjective and objective measures. The goal is to help clarify whether ADHD is present and, if so, to provide a recognised diagnosis with a clear report and summary to share with your GP.
As part of the trial, you’ll take part in:
Initial onboarding and ADHD screening (completed online at home)
Objective cognitive testing using Creyos (on a PC, laptop, or tablet)
A 2-hour in-person diagnostic interview with a qualified clinician at our Bedford clinic
If ADHD is identified, you’ll receive a full diagnostic letter and report explaining the outcome. If it’s not possible to confirm a diagnosis on the day, you’ll be offered a follow-up online meeting to discuss your results.
All participants, regardless of outcome, will receive a written summary and clinical report detailing the assessment findings. You’ll be able to share this with your GP, school, or employer if you choose.
Please note: this pilot does not include medication prescribing or treatment planning. It is an assessment and diagnostic process only.
A Real Assessment for Real People
This trial isn’t a university study. It’s a real-world evaluation, using the same tools we use in our private clinic every day. Qualified clinicians deliver all assessments, and you’ll receive a full diagnostic report, whether ADHD is diagnosed or not.
If your diagnosis can’t be confirmed during the in-person assessment, we’ll arrange a follow-up online appointment to discuss your results and next steps in full. You’ll leave the process with clarity and documentation to share with your GP, workplace, or school if you wish.
Objective cognitive testing that builds a fuller picture
Most ADHD assessments rely on subjective questionnaires. This trial adds Creyos cognitive testing, developed by Cambridge Brain Sciences and backed by over 40 years of research from Professor Adrian Owen at the University of Cambridge.
Using tasks that measure attention, memory, and reasoning, Creyos offers a scientific, objective view of how ADHD may affect you, comparing your results to a normative database of over 300,000 people.
It’s also a valuable tool for tracking change over time, whether monitoring progress with medication or identifying cognitive decline, something we’re excited to offer as part of long-term care.
Who this is for, and what you need to know
This opportunity is open to individuals and families who genuinely suspect ADHD is affecting their education, work, relationships or well-being, but have not yet had a formal diagnosis.
To take part, you must:
Be available during August 2025 for onboarding, online screening, at-home cognitive testing (on PC, laptop or tablet), and a 2-hour in-person assessment at our Bedford clinic.

Provide structured feedback and an honest review afterwards to help us improve our service and validate the tools used.
Please note:
This trial covers a diagnostic assessment only. Medication titration or treatment packages are not included.
Regardless of the outcome, you will receive a formal diagnostic report including cognitive test results and a follow-up online consultation, if required.

The successful candidates will be drawn randomly for each category and contacted by phone and email. If we do not receive a response within 3 days, we will select another applicant.
